That's how it was over there
Osnabrück, September 2020
From a large collection of biographical stories, the exhibition "So war's DDRüben" was created. It was opened September 5 at the Ursulaschule. 16 different posters were on display in Osnabrück stores and institutions to mark the 30th anniversary of German reunification. The posters show "contemporary witnesses" from Osnabrück and the surrounding area, with a personal connection to the former GDR, as well as their personal mementos.
In addition, short audio clips on the personal stories behind the objects could be played on site via smartphone for each poster.
The project was led by three students, Adriana Klostermann, Carlotta Meyer and Carina Schwill, and their teacher Tobias Romberg.
The project could be realized thanks to the financial support of the Friedel & Gisela Bohnenkamp Foundation and the City of Osnabrück as well as a cooperation with OS-Radio 104.8. The posters were on display in downtown Osnabrück until October 24, 2020.
