Human language is an expression of life. By learning to name things, every human being opens himself to the world and trains his thinking. And language is the key to this.

Through the "Wortreich - Sprachbildung für alle" project, we want to open up elementary school children to a good education - right from the start. The "for all" is the program: It is not about working on language deficits, but all children should benefit from "Wortreich". For this reason, "Wortreich" is not a marginal or additional offering. At the project schools, language education is more consciously taken into account and is a natural part of the teachers' teaching. By paying special attention to language in its oral and written expression in all subjects from 1st to 4th grade, we promote what is perhaps the most important foundation of all learning. Thus, by teaching key language skills, our children are made strong for school and for life in general.

The Friedel & Gisela Bohnenkamp Foundation would like to thank the numerous cooperation partners in this project as well as the participating schools. Whether in the planning team or in the advisory board, whether in the teacher or classroom - through the attitude of good cooperation in the many contexts of this project, "Wortreich" will certainly be exemplary and find many imitators.

Language is always a part of shaping relationships and passes on knowledge. The Bohnenkamp Foundation, together with the University of Osnabrück, will make its contribution to publicizing the results and effects of this project and making them available to interested parties.
